Los Angeles, CA – Spring is in the air, and so are fresh flavors and new learning opportunities at Little Kitchen Academy! As the premier Montessori-inspired cooking school for children and teens, Little Kitchen Academy is excited to unveil its refreshed spring curriculum, designed to help young chefs cook, learn, and grow while gaining real-life skills that extend beyond the kitchen.
Listen up, parents! This isn’t just any cooking class-this is where your kids and teens will learn to survive and thrive! We’re talking about essential life skills that will set them up for success.
Each of our new 3-class sessions and weeklong camps are packed with hands-on learning and creativity focusing on a new skill or topic such as:
- Science in the Kitchen – Cooking is science in action—every chop, stir, and sizzle is a lesson waiting to be learned
- School Snacks & Lunches – Students learn how to create delicious, homemade meals and snacks they’ll be excited to eat to keep them fueled for a busy day.
- Knife Skills – It’s time to slice, dice, and chop like a pro while mastering knife safety and learn proper technique
- Farm to Table – Learn where food comes from and how to prepare fresh, seasonal ingredients.
“Our refreshed skill-based curriculum gives children and teens the opportunity to dive deeper into a topic through hands-on cooking,” said Natalia Ordoñez, Recipe and Curriculum Manager, Little Kitchen Academy. “Parents love that our classes are more than just cooking—they build real-world skills, from math and science to understanding where food comes from, all in a fun and engaging experience.”
With flexible class options available during the day, after school, and on weekends, families can find a program that fits their schedule. Whether it’s a Spring break camp, after-school extracurricular, or a weekend class, every experience at Little Kitchen Academy encourages children to develop independence, creativity, and essential kitchen skills in a safe, empowering environment.
World-renowned celebrity chef and LKA Brand Ambassador, Cat Cora, adds, “As parents, we have the power to shape our children’s lifelong relationship with food. Prioritizing nutrition education at home is essential for their health, well-being, and longevity. By instilling healthy eating habits early on, we set them up for a future of strength, energy, and smart choices.”
