Our carefully designed cooking classes for children teach students how to make wholesome meals from scratch. Students ages 3-18 explore subjects like science, math, and culture through food. From knife skills to global cuisines, every class is a fun opportunity to learn, grow, and build practical life skills.

Summer (June 1 – August 31)

Camps

Baking is science you can eat, both sweet and savory! In this hands-on lab, students will explore the chemistry behind baking as they create a variety of baked dishes, from sweet treats to savory favorites. Through measuring, mixing, and baking, students will observe chemical reactions in real time and learn how small changes in ingredients or temperature can transform the final result. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the science behind baking and why precision matters

Adventure through flavor! Students will create dishes inspired by cuisines from around the globe. By exploring new ingredients and flavor profiles, students expand their palates, language, and appreciation for cultural diversity, building confidence with every new taste.

Students will be presented with a variety of ingredient choices, including a collection of spices and fresh and dried herbs, to taste and decide which they enjoy most. There is no right or wrong, only exploration, growing confidence, and the joy of creating something uniquely their own.

Tools are a chef’s best friend! In this skill-building session, students will practice using essential kitchen tools safely and confidently. From graters and Magic Bullet blenders to whisks and a Kitchen Aid mixer,

Fall (September 1 – November 30)

Monthly Sessions

September is about building the foundation. Students learn how to prepare meals and snacks from scratch that are balanced, portable, and ready for life on the go. From knife skills to food assembly, every session develops the kind of kitchen independence that carries into daily life. This month, they come home knowing how to feed themselves well.

October is dedicated to baking from scratch. Students prepare sweet and savory recipes using seasonal ingredients while developing the precision, patience, and technique that baking demands. Every recipe is made entirely from scratch, from measuring dry ingredients to understanding how heat transforms them. They leave with real baking skills and something worth sharing.

November puts the store-bought version up against the real thing. Students prepare homemade versions of familiar foods from scratch, then compare them against their packaged counterparts, tasting the difference in flavor, texture, and ingredients. It is a lesson in what food actually is, where it comes from, and why making it yourself matters. They leave as more discerning eaters and more confident chefs.

Winter (December 1 – February 28)

December is baking season. Students create comforting baked favourites from scratch while uncovering the science behind what happens in the oven. Through hands-on exploration, they discover how ingredients interact, how techniques influence results, and why small changes can make a big difference. As they bake, measure, mix, and experiment, they build confidence, critical thinking skills, and practical kitchen capability. By the end of the month, they’ll know not only how to create delicious baked goods, but also the science that makes them possible.

January is a month of experimentation and discovery as students uncover the science behind every day cooking. Students cook from scratch using whole ingredients while discovering how simple foods transform into delicious meals. Along the way, they build practical kitchen skills, deepen their understanding of seasonal ingredients, and gain confidence through hands-on experience. By the end of the month, students leave with the ability to create recipes from scratch and a stronger connection to the food they eat.

February explores the comforting recipes that have earned a lasting place at the table. Students prepare classic dishes from scratch while developing practical cooking skills, nutritional literacy, and confidence with whole ingredients. Cooking for someone else changes how a child cooks. It sharpens attention, invites care, and turns a familiar recipe into a gesture. By the end of the month, they are more capable in the kitchen and better equipped to recreate favorite dishes from scratch on their own.

Winter Break Camps

Food is one of the most meaningful ways we share care, gratitude, and connection. Throughout the week, students create giftable recipes from scratch while practicing the skill, precision, and attention to detail that thoughtful handmade gifts require. From measuring and mixing to packaging and presentation, they develop kitchen craftsmanship and discover that the most memorable gifts are often the ones made by hand.
