VANCOUVER, BC – Little Kitchen Academy (LKA), the premier Montessori-inspired cooking academy for children and teens, opens its Summer Camp registration on March 4. LKA’s Summer Season runs from June 1 to August 31 with purpose-driven and highly sought-after summer camp experiences including: Baking Chemistry Lab, Culinary Engineering, Smart Snacks & Packable Lunches, and more.

Thousands of parents across North America have enrolled their children in LKA’s immersive cooking classes, trusted for building practical life skills, independence, and confidence in a secure, carefully guided environment. With camps already filling fast, families are encouraged to visit littlekitchenacademy.com to secure their children’s spot before the season begins.

“There is something truly special about watching a child discover what they are capable of in the kitchen,” shares Felicity Curin, LKA Founder, President, and Chief Learning & Curriculum Officer. “At LKA, children can slow down, get their hands in real ingredients, and walk away with confidence they carry for life. We are here to support families through a busy summer season by giving children a fun place where they can genuinely thrive.”

The Smartest and Safest Three Hours for Children and Teensi-Inspired Programs: Real Learning, Real Growth

Changing Lives From Scratch is more than a tagline at Little Kitchen Academy. It is the philosophy behind every class, every recipe, and every season: by nurturing children’s curiosity and helping them become caring, capable members of their community, LKA turns three hours in the kitchen into a foundation of independence that lasts a lifetime.

Parent Bonus – Three Hours For You

Each three-hour class provides children with consistent routines, joyful engagement, and meaningful accomplishment in a protected, nurturing space. At the same time, parents and caregivers experience a valuable benefit: three uninterrupted hours to themselves.

Whether catching up on work, running errands, or simply enjoying quiet time, families gain peace of mind knowing their children are in the best hands. This blend of safety, learning, and convenience makes LKA uniquely aligned with the needs of today’s busy families.

A Kitchen Designed with Safety and Security in Mind

Safety in the kitchen and the security of our students and families are foundational at LKA. All instructors are certified in food safety, first aid with CPR, and have completed background checks. Kitchens are purpose-built and follow rigorous cleanliness standards, giving children the freedom to explore, taste, and try in an environment designed to keep them safe and secure.

Families provide two local emergency contacts at enrollment, and every child must be signed in and out by an authorized adult. These safeguards allow parents, caregivers, and educators to feel confident that children are protected in a space intentionally designed for both safety and growth.

Summer 2026 Highlights

At LKA, children and teens engage in hands-on cooking and real-world learning. Working with fresh, local, seasonal ingredients, students explore new recipes, techniques, flavors, and cuisines while developing healthy habits that last a lifetime through repeated attendance in camps and monthly sessions.

5-Day Summer Camps (offerings may vary per location)
