THIS FALL CONFIDENCE IS ON THE MENU: LITTLE KITCHEN ACADEMY IS INVITING FAMILIES TO PRIORITIZE A DIFFERENT KIND OF LEARNING

Fall Programs Help Students Build Independence, Healthy Habits, Essential Life Skills, and Back-to-School Confidence—One Recipe at a Time

Vancouver, BC – July 24, 2025 – Little Kitchen Academy (LKA), the premier Montessori-inspired cooking school for children and teens ages 3 to 18, is proud to announce the launch of its Fall 2025 Season, inviting families to prioritize a different kind of learning this fall; the kind that the classroom can’t teach.

Rooted in the belief that learning to cook is a life skill just as essential as learning to swim, LKA offers a unique, purpose-driven experience where children gain independence, confidence, and healthy habits, one recipe at a time, one lesson at a time, one breakthrough at a time. In every class, students make seasonal recipes from scratch while building practical life skills needed to thrive in and out of the kitchen.

“Teaching children how to cook is one of the greatest gifts we can give,” says Hollywood Icon and LKA Special Advisor “Supermensch” Shep Gordon. “It’s not just about food. It’s about confidence, independence, and healthy habits that can shape a child’s future.”

Why It Matters:

  • Over 90% of children don’t eat enough vegetables.
  • Kids without basic cooking skills are more likely to rely on processed foods—habits linked to long-term health risks like obesity, diabetes, and poor academic performance.
  • LKA’s programs help reverse that trend by making healthy eating and real-world learning fun, accessible, and deeply rewarding.

What’s New This Fall:

  • Get Rewarded: As part of our new LKA Rewards program, we’re saying thank you to our families in a big way. Every early Fall 2025 registration is automatically entered for a chance to win a Click & Grow Smart Garden, valued at $300!
  • Month-Long Programs: Structured sessions build consistency, community, and confidence.
  • Fall-Themed Curriculum: Seasonal themes like Baking Techniques, Fall Flavors, and STEM in the Kitchen plus new recipes each week keep learning fresh and fun.
  • Focus on Healthy Habits: Students make a variety of recipes from scratch, explore fresh seasonal ingredients, and learn the “why” behind food choices.

This fall, each month-long session introduces new tools, techniques, and fresh recipes designed to spark curiosity and cultivate confidence. The structured, monthly curriculum allows children to build deep, consistent learning habits while developing social and emotional confidence. With classes offered after school, on weekends, and throughout the week, families can easily integrate meaningful learning into their weekly routine.

“We design every class to be as enriching as it is fun.” said Felicity Curin, Little Kitchen Academy Founder. “This season, students will not only learn to cook from scratch, but they’ll also discover what they’re capable of through hands-on learning, fresh, locally inspired, seasonal themes, and exciting new recipes each week.”
