New Leadership, Same Mission: Little Kitchen Academy Richmond Olympic Oval Village BC Welcomes New Franchise Owner
Amin Taji, Former Instructor Turned Owner, Brings Passion for Empowering Children and Building Community Through Cooking
Richmond, BC, July 3, 2025—Little Kitchen Academy (LKA), the premier Montessori-inspired cooking academy for children and teens ages 3 through 18, is proud to welcome Amin Taji as the new Franchise Owner of LKA Richmond Olympic Oval Village.
Amin’s journey with Little Kitchen Academy is nothing short of inspiring—a full-circle story that captures the heart and soul of what LKA is all about. He began as an instructor at the flagship Point Grey, Vancouver, B.C. location, but his connection to the brand started even earlier.
“When LKA opened its first school, I used to pass by it all the time. It always sparked my curiosity—the same way it sparks curiosity in children,” said Amin. “It blends everything I love: education, nutrition, and cooking. My younger brother started taking classes, and I witnessed his transformation into an independent and confident teenager. That inspired me to apply to be an instructor, and it turned out to be a life-changing decision.”
Since then, Amin has become a force in the kitchen—an energetic, passionate instructor who inspires students, leads with heart, and champions LKA’s mission to help children and teens build confidence, independence, and real-life skills through hands-on learning.
“I’ve had the honor of getting to know the incredible team behind LKA and teach so many amazing students,” he added. “I believe LKA is a place that truly inspires independence, creativity, and joy, and I’m both excited and grateful to serve the Richmond community.”
“Since the very beginning, Richmond families have embraced Little Kitchen Academy and our mission to empower their children with practical life skills through joyful learning,” said Felicity Curin, Founder of Little Kitchen Academy. “Amin’s story is a beautiful reflection of what makes our community so special. We’re thrilled to see his passion inspire the next generation in the Richmond community.”
“Amin’s journey truly represents the impact and power of our mission—not just to change the lives of students, but to ignite purpose in those who lead them,” said Brian Curin, Co-Founder, CEO/CMO of Little Kitchen Academy. “His heart, his story, and his relentless dedication to nurturing independence and confidence in young people is exactly what Little Kitchen Academy stands for. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome him as the new owner of LKA Richmond Olympic Oval Village.”
Amin’s one ingredient—the unique quality he brings to the kitchen and community—is ‘spark’: a fitting symbol of the energy and passion he brings to this new role.
Under Amin’s ownership, LKA Richmond Olympic Oval Village is already buzzing with excitement. With weeklong camps nearly full, and weekend classes in full swing, students are discovering new foods, building real-life skills, and growing their confidence.
