Following 5 successful years of operations and over 100,000 student visits, LKA further expands in British Columbia to the idyllic community of Kelowna, BC this fall

Kelowna, BC – April 9, 2024  Little Kitchen Academy (LKA) the Vancouver-based leading Montessori-inspired cooking academy for kids ages 3 through 18, is expanding its footprint in the province of British Columbia, Canada as they announce a new school opening in Kelowna, BC this fall. 

Kelowna based couple Paul Larsen and his wife Susan will be opening LKA Kelowna in the highly sought-after Orchard Plaza on Cooper Road. Construction will begin soon with plans to open early enrollment in August. Parents, families, and area schools are encouraged to sign up for email updates to take advantage of priority early enrollment.

“We were searching for an authentically purpose-driven opportunity for our next venture and when I found Little Kitchen Academy in 2019, my whole family was excited,” said LKA Kelowna owner Paul Larsen.” 

Paul recently sold his Kelowna radio station CKOV-FM and wrapped up a 30-year career in media. Susan has a background in nutrition and their daughter has had an interest in cooking from an early age. 

Continues Larsen, “My wife Susan and I truly resonate with LKA’s mission to change children’s lives by developing confidence and independence through 3-hour Montessori-inspired cooking classes and we can’t wait to introduce Little Kitchen Academy to families in the Okanagan.”

LKA believes that by empowering children with practical life skills and food literacy, they will create a more educated, mindful, and healthier communities globally.
